Ashtyn Barbaree will be performing at Sampaguita (Aitkin, MN) on August 29th at 7pm. Ashtyn Barbaree is an Americana singer-songwriter from Fayetteville, Arkansas. Known for her dreamy voice and heartfelt songwriting, she captivates audiences with passionate performances that have silenced rooms across the United States and Europe.

Her latest self-produced album, Sent Through The Ceiling, debuted at #44 on the USA Alt-Country Charts in November 2024. She holds nominations for Americana Artist of the Year (2025, 2023) and Acoustic Act of the Year (2024) at the Arkansas Country Music Awards.

Breanne Tepler from Breanne Marie & The Front Porch Sinners will be doing a solo show in the Velvet Corner at 2pm. This is a great opportunity to have a late lunch and come join us to hear Breanne preform an acoustical set for our Velvet Corner debut. Bring your lunch and come join us Wednesday, June 18th. Then for a later dinner show, Papa Jim will be gracing the corner at 6pm to play "unplugged" (well the keyboards will be plugged in but that is it). Jim "Papa" Matteson is an Atikin local that has graced stages and corners all throughout the country and we are excited to have him preform an intimate keyboard show.

These are free shows and donations accepted. All proceeds from Velvet Corner shows will go to local Aitkin interests.

All proceeds for this show will go to the Aitkin Farmers Market for the art mural that will grace their structure.

We allow outside food/drink so pick something up from any of the fantastic local food joint nearby and come on in and enjoy an afternoon/evening with us. All ages!

Our Jim Matteson is putting together a B-Day Bash for Bob Dylan on the 24th of May. The show on the 24th for local musicians to celebrate Bob Dylan's birthday with a cover song tribute on his actual birthday - located at Sampaguita.

Jed LaPlant (Wild Horses) is coming back to Aitkin for a Sunday Spot. This is a special even as Jed is an incredible musician and performer and this will be an intimate setting to enjoy and share. He is also bringing Dean Batten all the way up from Florida to Aitkin. Dean has never been to Minnesota so this is a chance to show our amazing hospitality.
